This is a remarkable photograph of a broodmare band racing over their
new
paddock just before a heavy summer thunderstorm. Photographed on King Ranch
on Old Frankfort Pike outside Lexington. These mares had just been led through a
seldom used tunnel under Old Frankfort Pike that connects Darby Dan Farm with
King Ranch. Both farms were originally the famous Col. Bradley's Idle Hour Farm. |
